My family and I drove from Ohio to New York. There is a surreal feeling when the skyline comes into view. Then as you continue to drive, the Statue of Liberty becomes a focal point. I find myself thinking about how others have felt looking at her and the freedom she represents. We found our hotel, relaxed and planned our next day. Our hotel was on Wall Street. We walked to the statues of the little girl facing the bull. We took some pictures and made our way to the 9/11 memorial and museum. This was a sobering experience, reading the names etched into the walls of the pools and knowing how that event changed America. We made our way to One World Trade Center and took in stunning views of New York. I am a huge fan of the Friends tv show.
