Something similar to Fish Extenders is Pixie Dusting. This means that you sign up for gift giving but those who chose to Pixie Dust don’t have to give anything back. This is the first cruise where I’m participating. I put together small packages that included cell phone stands, stickers, hair bands, and magnets. Some of the pixie dust I got in return consisted of slap bracelets, candy, pop its, and Disney themed keys. 

I’m preparing for our next cruise. I thought I’d talk a little about the extra magical touches that I truly enjoy! On my first Disney Cruise, I learned about fish extenders. I’ll usually go onto Facebook and find a group that has been started for our cruise date and ship. One I locate that, I search for fish extenders.  Fish extenders is a basically a small gift swap. A spreadsheet is kept about rooms that want to participate. Including in that information is name, age, favorite character. Once you are assigned your fish extender group, you start looking for gifts. You can give small gifts each night night or just once, the choice is yours.  Why is it called fish extenders? Because, rooms will hang pouches from the fish outside their door. The wish didn’t have fish as extenders but instead there were birds from Cinderella.
